Description

Fifty threatening texts were obtained and transcribed from FBI vault. The FBI vault contains old cases files that have been digitised and are made available to the public. It is essential to mention that the analysed data for this research are genuine written threats that are not created for the purpose of any study or experiment. The whole data set contains 6,568 words overall. No spelling mistakes were corrected. Furthermore, the fifty threatening notes include variations in length. The shortest text contains 6 words while the longest text contains 689 words. Moreover, it is estimated that the oldest analysed threatening text was produced in 1937 while the most recent one it is produced in 2015.
